The New Chapter for Bandhavgarh National Park with D1

In 1993, Bandhavgarh National Park was officially designated as a tiger reserve. Before it became a national park, the forest's rulers used it as a private hunting ground.

From the beginning, this park covered almost 105 square kilometers, but it was later expanded due to the growth of its tiger population. It is the newest national park of Madhya Pradesh.

New Beginning in Bandhavgarh:

A new era starts in Bandhavgarh National Park with the rise of D1, a young, dominating, and massive male tiger. He has no official name but is known as the powerful Royal Bengal tiger of the Khitauli zone. Very rapidly, he spread his own territory among the animals and tourists. Mainly, he is spotted in Khitauli, Panpatha, and Dhamkhar zones. In the wild, a shift in the tiger's dominance completely reshapes the park’s ecosystem. Now D1 controls the prime hunting grounds, protects, and saves the population of his territory.

Who is D1?

A young male tiger, heavyset and aggressive, was gradually expanding his territory. D1 is known as the king of the Khitauli zone. He belongs to the royal family; he is the son of a highly celebrated tigress, Dottly from the Tala zone, and the formidable Mahaman. Born in 2019, he became an adult and matured in the prime of his life. With an approximate weight of 220–250 kilograms, D1 is one of the most powerful tigers in Bandhavgarh.

Following the Bandhavgarh online safari booking, visitors get to know him for his size and fearlessness. He established his territory by defeating the park's legendary older males.

Why did D1 call a new king?

The rise of D1 in Bandhavgarh is not only interesting for tourist safaris but also very important for the forest ecosystem. He plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the tiger population and shaping the future of the new generation of tigers in Bandhavgarh National Park. His growing influence and commanding presence are the main reasons why many wildlife lovers now refer to him as the new king of Bandhavgarh National Park.

Pujari and D1, which one is the best?

Pujari was a tiger living in the Khitauli area of Bandhavgarh National Park. Tourists and wildlife photographers admired Pujari's presence and actions. To learn more about the fascinating wildlife here, Bandhavgarh online safari booking is required.

Then a younger tiger named D1 came to the Khitauli zone of Bandhavgarh National Park in 2026. D1 was different from Pujari. Pujari was in charge of the Khitauli zone of Bandhavgarh National Park because he was old and strong. D1 took over places in the Khitauli zone of Bandhavgarh National Park because he was bold and very strong.

Pujari and D1 had some fights. Pujari died on 11 May when he fought with D1. After Pujari died, D1 took over the Khitauli zone of Bandhavgarh National Park. Now D1 is the tiger in the Khitauli zone of Bandhavgarh National Park. Pujari was about being stable and famous. D1 is about something in the Khitauli zone of Bandhavgarh National Park. This just shows how wild tigers compete and take turns leading the Khitauli zone of Bandhavgarh National Park.

Changes After Pujari:

The power of Pujari is going down in Bandhavgarh National Park. Pujari was in charge of an area, and people saw him a lot in the park. As Pujari got older, he started to lose control. Some younger and stronger male tigers began to fight for the area. This is when D1 got a chance to come in and become the male tiger.

Now D1 is the boss, and the way tigers move around has changed in some parts of the park. People who really like animals are keeping an eye on what D1 is doing. The change from Pujari to D1 is a normal part of tiger life, where new tigers become leaders as they grow up.

Pujari is not the boss anymore. D1 is the king of the park. The park is getting used to having D1. People are forgetting about Pujari. D1 becoming the tiger is an important part of the park's history. The story of Bandhavgarh National Park is changing with D1 in charge.
