Safari Zones In Bandhavgarh

Tala Zone:- Being one of the oldest, it is among the most sought-after zones of Bandhavgarh National Park. Besides good sightings of tigers, the zone also harbors other attractions such as the famous Bandhavgarh Fort and the 10th-century Shesh Shaiya-the idol of Lord Vishnu lying on the Shesh Nag. The idol becomes the origin of Charan Ganga, which nourishes the park and its meadows. The main thing you have to do to enter this historic zone is book Bandhavgarh National Park. Umaria being the nearest town, falls 28 km from the Tala zone.To visit this zone, visitors need a valid safari permit according to applicable park and forest department rules. Magadhi Zone:- More or less gate number 2 of Bandhavgarh National Park contains various natural and artificial water holes such as Murdhawa, Dabhadhole, Sukhi Patiha, and Charkpwaha. Tiger sightings have been recorded here.Safari entry into the Magadhi Zone is subject to permit availability and applicable park regulations.

Khitauli Zone:- Gate 3 of the park comprises the dry-deciduous forests and is yet another premium area to spot the tigers. There is a herd of wild elephants. Six passengers are allowed to travel along with the driver and guide. Children above five years are also counted as passengers. Jeep safaris will be open from the 1st of October to the 30th of June through core zones, while buffer zones will remain open all the time.

Canter Safari:

Not available presently. This is usually undertaken on a 12-24 seater bus, giving a good view of the forest and its locals.

Full-Day Safari:
